The Portobello Road Project is available to anyone who is affected by drug use including friends and family of drug users. The Project specialises in a variety of treatment options for clients with substance misuse problems in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The service also accomodates substance misusing clients from Westminster who have been recently diagnosed with Hepatitis C. The services available are:

What you can expect:
All clients accessing the Community Services can expect a confidential service provided by a dedicated team of experienced workers. The project strives to deliver information and advice in a respectful manner tailored to individual need.
The Project promotes a 'harm reduction' philosophy and understands that not all clients are ready to stop using drugs immediately.
The overall aim of the Project is to reduce the risks and problems associated with drug-use.
On entering the project you will be met by one of the workers who will work with you to decide what your needs are. It is usual that, if appropriate, you will be offered auricular acupuncture and detox teas after the assessment on your first visit.
Daily Drop-In Service:
First point of contact for any individual experiencing drug related problems. Clients can be referred or self referred.
Assessment, brief intervention and referral to other treatment services.
Support for family, friends and concerned others.
Education and prevention initiatives.
Information on all aspects of drug-use.
Hep C Clinic:
The Hep C Clinic is run by Chinese herbalist and a nurse. They work together to support clients with Hep C and prescribe herbs and vitamins in order to counter the debilitating effects of kidney and liver damage.
GP Shared Care:
Supporting the process of opiate prescribing in Primary Health Care through specialist advice and information, key-working and care plan co-ordination.

Needle Exchange:
- Injecting paraphernalia
- Accurate information and advice in relation to injecting practices
- Condom provision + lubrication
- Advice and information on sexually transmitted diseases
