The Novo Project is an open access, community drug service that works with crack, cocaine and other stimulant drug users in the London Borough of Lewisham.

Their family, friends and the local community are also offered information and advice, empowering them to deal with the related issues associated with substance misuse.

  • The Novo Project supports stimulant users to examine their substance misuse issues, develop new skills and enhance confidence levels via a package of individual key-working utilising CBT, relapse prevention, ITEP and Motivational Interviewing approaches.
  • Extensive group work provision is also offered to the client base; including daily drop-in, peer support groups, gym, women's only spaces and service user involvement groups. Refreshemnts are often provided.
  • In line with the ‘wholistic’ approach to treatment, the Novo Project also offers clients complimentary therapies, detox, lung and relaxation teas, needle exchange facilities and direct referrals into other support systems (such as dual diagnosis, ETE opportunities, housing support, etc).
  • The service also has showers and laundry facilities and on-site needle exchange.
  • Operating from our two main sites in Deptford and Forest Hill, Novo also work from numerous satellite sites across the borough.
