Blenheim CDP Responds to Government Proposals for the NTA
Blenheim CDP has responded to the Department of Health's announcement that the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse (NTA) is to be abolished as a statutory organisation. The NTA will cease to exist as an organisation in its own right but its functions will be transferred to a new Public Health Service, which will be directly accountable to the Secretary of State. The Public Health Service will also incorporate the functions of the Health Protection Agency.
